Networking Events

CITAP+ has three signature events annually:

Golf Tournament held in Western Canada during the month of July and in Eastern Canada in August;

Winter Function, which is the largest event, generally takes place in the first week of December.

Seminars, Workshop, FAMs

In addition to the networking events, CITAP+ holds workshops and information seminars for members. For example, the “Chinese Speaking Guide Training Program” and “YVR – the Connecting Hub” presented by YVR Airline Business Development. We also hold FAMs for Receptive Tour Operator members in coordination with Destination Market Organizations.

Global Market Updates

CITAP+ Members receive reports on international markets based on information/data provided from the Receptive Tour Operators who are the front-line people when it comes to inbound travel news.

Also, as a part of the Winter Function, market updates are presented in a panel discussion format consisting of panellists representing the major markets.

Advocacy for Members

As an association to support the Receptive Tour Operators handling global markets in Canada, our Advocacy Committee speaks to and works with various levels of the government and industry related associations.

Corporate Memberships

Receptive Tour Operator

$ 350 per Year

A corporation that is incorporated and in good standing under the CBCA or any provincial statute in Canada, and which is actively handling inbound tours in Canada as the primary business of said corporation.

Provincial Marketing Organization

$ 600 per Year

A corporation which is incorporated and in good standing under CBCA or any provincial legislation in Canada, as the case may be, and which is actively promoting any province or territory in Canada, as a travel destination.

Destination Marketing Organization

$ 450 per Year

A corporation which is incorporated and in good standing under CBCA or any provincial legislation in Canada, as the case may be, and which is actively promoting non-provincial region in Canada, as a travel destination.

Canadian or United States Supplier – National / Regional

$ 700 per Year

A corporation related to the hospitality and tourism industry, such as transportation companies, hotels, airline companies, restaurants, retail shops, attractions, or relevant tourism partners with two or more locations and more than 200 employees.

A corporation related to the hospitality and tourism industry such as transportation companies, hotels,airline companies, restaurants, retail shops, attractions or relevant tourism partners with less than 2 locations or 200 employees.

A corporation that is incorporated and in good standing under the CBCA or any provincial legislation, and whose primary business is serving the general public as a travel agency in its local area.
