Our 2018 Annual Winter Function took place on Tuesday, December 4th at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel in Richmond, BC.

CITAP Winter Function is a key networking event where members from across Canada and the United States get together and become informed on the latest developments, trends and issues that are important to the Canadian Inbound tourism from Asia Pacific and tourism in general.

The 22nd Annual CITAP Winter Function was a resounding success with 142 at the morning seminars, 150 exhibitors at the Marketplace tradeshow, and 332 guests attending the gala dinner.

Educational Seminars:

The 2018 CITAP Annual Winter Function day began at 9am with two educational seminars, including key note speaker, Rachel Dodds, as well as an informative session with Anne Murray from Vancouver Airport Authority.

Sustainable / Responsible Tourism with Rachel Dodds:

Having been trained to look at many different aspects of tourism, Rachel Dodds, knows that sustainability means long term planning and management and that experience and understanding of diverse cultures and environments is a fundamental part of tourism.

Update from Vancouver Airport Authority’s VP, Anne Murray:

Anne Murray, VP, Airline Business Development and Public Affairs at Vancouver Airport Authority will share YVR’s future plans, growth projections and impact the airport has not just on Vancouver, but to Canada as a whole, being the Asia Pacific gateway to North America.
