COVID-19: CITAP Advocacy Update
In the COVID-19 crisis, CITAP is here to assist you. In the past weeks, we have been working vigorously, communicating with various stakeholders. At this time, we would like to update you regarding the actions we are taking.
- CITAP Board of Directors has formed a COVID-19 sub-committee to brainstorm the next steps CITAP should take to support its membership. The sub-committee members represent each membership category. We are holding meetings every two weeks.
- CITAP facilitated the COVID-19 RTO members Roundtable Discussion on April 7. Twenty (20) RTO members attended and shared their concerns. We brainstormed ideas for recovery of their business, and will also be holding this meeting every two weeks.
- There is a daily conference call held by Ministry of Small Business and Export Promotion that includes a Q & A session. During each session, we can ask questions relating to the federal government’s support or address the issues our members are experiencing. https://www.canada.ca/en/services/business/maintaingrowimprovebusiness/resources-for-canadian-businesses.html
- We recommend our members to read the following support measures:

- Canadian Emergency Business Account (CEBA) to support business owners –https://ceba-cuec.ca/
